In journalism we used to call this a story too good to check, or as Hillary's campaign might say ... never let the facts get in the way of a good story. I think at this point I actually feel sorry for her.
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign ... the story of ... an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee ... But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.

War Monger (AKA: Well you did vote for the war.)
When Bill Cunningham went on his tirade I condemned it on the spot and so did John McCain. Barack Obama has the chance to do the same. He has chosen not to.
"Local talk show host Ed Schultz used the term "war monger" to describe John McCain while warming up the crowd in Grand Forks, N.D., before Obama’s arrival at the state’s Democratic convention."
How did the Obama campaign respond? Read for yourself:
“John McCain is not a warmonger and should not be described as such,” Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Saturday. She added, “He’s a supporter of a war that Senator Obama believes should have never been authorized and never been waged.”

Redstate has put together a long list of ... hmmm .. "untruths" ... all verified by FactCheck.org. As Redstate points out, this is all in the last month. And yet nary a challenge from the media giants.No wonder Mrs Clinton is frustrated. A house panel heard testimony today on the cost of Secret Service protection. Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan said costs are rising in part because of coverage of both Democratic Presidential contenders ... which this time around started 9 months earlier than in 2004.

This is MUST READ piece by Kim Kagan, President of The Institute For The Study of War. There's no one in my opinion who knows the details on the ground in Iraq more than her. I think you'll find most interseting is what she has to say about Mr Sadr. Here's two paragraphs I chose from the article:The Iranian-trained militias operated in 2006-2008 as units known as Special Groups or Secret Cells, ostensibly claiming to serve within Mr. Sadr's militia. In reality, the U.S. military says their titular leader – the ex-Sadrist Qais Khazali – reported to a Lebanese Hezbollah commander, who in turn reported to the highest Qods Force leaders.................
Iran and Mr. Sadr could not simply unleash a floodtide of violence that would overwhelm Iraqi Security Forces partnered with U.S. units, because they are more capable of handling the situation. For all of his nationalist rhetoric, Mr. Sadr is evidently not in control of his movement -- it appears that the decision to fight or not rested with the Qods Force commander and not with him. But Mr. Sadr's militia remains a reserve from which the Special Groups can and will draw in crisis.

Ok, I always try to use caution when speaking about this man and why he is still here. There could be reasons we don't see that the powers to be do, sometimes the #2 guy is more dangerous, etc. But you know what??? I've had it. This guy needs to go. The amount of blood on his hands is unmeasurable. There's got to be a point where his followers realize that he's hindering the progress of the Iraqi people. And the more he hinders, the longer we have to be there. Unless maybe hmmm, he's just trying to stir up trouble as usual, and not looking out for what's best for the Iraqis as he claims. Lieberman said his critique against the "small group on the left" was directed at the online advocacy group MoveOn.org and liberal bloggers like Daily Kos, not any colleagues.I applaud anyone that stands up to MoveOn.org and others. Cops: 3rd-graders aimed to hurt teacher
This is just disturbing - 3RD GRADERS!!! My Mom asks all the time what this world is coming to, and seriously - what is this world coming to??? WAYCROSS, Ga. - A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday.

The GATHERING OF EAGLES, a patriotic organization whose goal is to publicly support our men and women in uniform, whether active duty or veteran, announces our whole hearted participation with the New Haven EAGLES UP in an upcoming rally at the Vietnam and Korean War memorial. The Vietnam and Korean War Memorial Walls in New Haven, CT have been desecrated on three separate occasions. It was claimed to have been done by Illegal Alien gangs including - but not necessarily limited to - the MS-13 criminal gang organization, due to the messages that were scrawled upon the face of these memorials. We as Americans should never stand for this. These two internet links show the media coverage of this story. On Saturday, April 5th, Gathering of Eagles will be holding a rally at the War Memorial Park in New Haven, to protest this unspeakable act and to stand up for our fallen heroes. This practice of Free Speech by the Gathering of Eagles is done as our rights as citizens; and is also done to show that those who appear to have desecrated these memorials are not Americans at all and wish to dishonor those who guarantee our rights as veterans. What a sad and disgusting story. If this man's statements doesn't prove the need for a 3 strikes law for violent offenders I don't know what does.But Williams, a registered sex offender on probation, decided the women had likely memorized his face after he ordered them at gunpoint to sit as he scouted the house. "That is when Williams realized he would have to kill both females," New Britain Det. Raymond Grzegorzek wrote in the department's incident report on the invasion.
He just decided to kill them. Just decided to take them away from their friends and families. He looked into this woman's face and pulled the trigger.

Hardball: Barack Should Have Played Hoops
What are the Hardballites actually saying here anyway. Is it Black people can't bowl. Or is basketball the way to get in touch with African Americans. What does bowling have to do with race. I'm white, grew up in a blue collar town, bowled on Saturdays and I suck too.

Ohio soldier's remains found in Iraq
While a sad end, at least his family now has closer. Our thoughts and prayer are with with SGT Maupin and his family today.
